My favorite breakfast place at the beach. Great service and healthy food choice options! We go back every year due to the consistent food and service!

Everything here is amazing!! I got the pecan multigrain pancakes and bacon! The pancakes are huge and perfect to the last bite. The bacon was delicious, who would have thought you can make bacon better from one place to another but they did it... I'm spoiled. Possibly the best breakfast place that I've eaten in PCB!!

I had the chickichanga it was delicious even with underdone potatoes. Service was a tad bit slow but I didn't have plans.

I absolutely LOVE this place! I've been a regular since they opened in 2012 and they keep getting better! The staff treats you like family and for someone like me who is in often, that's a plus! In fact, many of the staff have been here since they opened-I think that says something about a place that hires and KEEPS happy help :) They keep things interesting with seasonal specials-I've had dishes like the pumpkin pancakes and harvest hash to lemon ricotta pancakes (trust me, they're delicious!) They just rolled out some specials that are after my own heart - Kale Salad with roasted carrots, a breakfast quinoa bowl annnd...avocado toast with basted eggs! I challenge any one of you to find a place in Bay County that serves quinoa for breakfast or prepares basted eggs. Even for me, basted eggs was a first! But they didn't stop there-the people have spoken and First Watch listened-they now offer juice, FRESH juice. Carrots, oranges and lemons with just a hint of ginger- it's divine!!! I am particular about my food, the quality and how it's prepared. It's nice to know there is a place that makes every effort to accommodate guests, no matter how outrageous the request. I eat healthy and leave happy! I love you First Watch :) Keep on keepin on!

Here, visiting from Texas, and this place has had the best breakfast so far. Got the parm hash, with a carrot cake pancake on the side...delicious. Husband got the sour dough Monte Cristo...he loved it. Kids got chocolate chip pancakes and sausage, there wasn't a crumb left. Our waitress was spectacular as well. Would definitely recommend this place.

Good service. Good food. I had the trifecta of scrambled eggs, bacon and a blueberry pancake. I thought the eggs lacked seasoning (needed salt) but the pancake and bacon were terrific. They brought some type of blueberry compote with the pancake which was a little too strong for me - luckily it was on the side. I will say this place has a lot of different, more foodie and healthy choices, boasting lots of avocado, granola and egg whites. Great atmosphere and nice upscale coffeehouse feel.

If you need a good place to relax and enjoy your food in a friendly atmosphere, then come here. No matter what the time and situation, they are always so attentive and ready to make sure you enjoy your visit and your meal. The food can range from the vegetarian to the carnivore's delight. You won't regret it. Especially today, with Ms. Sara doing an impeccable job to ensure my visit today was awesome. So don't wait too long since they are only open until 2:30 pm. The foods great, service is amazing, and the atmosphere is relaxed and easy.

Friendly service, plenty of parking and a nice and clean restaurant with free wifi. There were at least six things on this menu that I would have eaten, but it was the "Parma Hash" that escaped my lips to the waitress. It arrived a very few minutes later. Great portion with two perfectly poached eggs on top. The sausage was excellent and the rest of the hash mix was very tasty and delicious. Handmade preserves were perfect on the English muffin but I could only complain because I wanted a lot more bread for spreading preserves on it. Yum! Five stars!

Just open your salt shaker. You will likely find RUST! We brought it to the attention of our waitress. I'm pregnant and that doesn't work for me. The next 2 shakers has rust. With regards to the food-bland. Potatoes were under cooked. Asked for new potatoes and they came back under done as well. Everything else was so-so, but because of the unsanitary conditions and the fact we didn't even get an apology for the rust, I can't give anything higher.

Great for brunch and service is great. Not to far from the beach. Lunch is good with a nice menu would go back

This is a nice little hidden gem. The prices are great. The food servings are generous. Great customer service. I would definitely come back and recommend this place to others.

  • Mandy F.

Love this place for breakfast! The turkey sausage and gravy biscuits are yumm-o! You can get greens as a side which is pretty cool. It's also pretty cool because you can get lunch items if you don't want to eat off the breakfast menu. Everything I've tried from here is tasty and satisfying. Love the half sandwich and half salad combo.

The service was great and very prompt. The food was very good! I had the chickichanga and I would definitely come back!

You never get a bad meal at this location. I like to come with friends. It's a place that everyone enjoys, because it has a friendly staff that doesn't rush you and excellent food for both breakfast and lunch. I love a place where you can get breakfast any time.

I found this little spot using Yelp. I really wanted flavored pancakes and I found some! I got carrot cake and banana and added chocolate chips. Very yummy!

I don't typically eat at chains because i always leave dissatisfied, but this place left me pleasantly surprised. My husband and I loved the menu selections and out dishes were delicious too! It's hard to put out a healthy product without making your food bland, but they do a really good job. All at a great price! Most of their dishes are $9 or less. We ordered a juice to go as well and it was also surprisingly delicious and only $3.99. At whole foods or any other health restaurant you would easily pay $7 or more for the same drink.

Oh my gosh! This was a fabulous choice for breakfast in PCB! We were greeted at the door and seated right away. Ate outside with a nice breeze. I LOVED the Florida French toast! Amazing! My husband loves the chickichanga! I don't eat a lot but I almost cleaned my plate. He cleaned his as usual and the last half piece of my French toast. Everything was so delicious and we paid like $30 including tip. We found a new breakfast spot for our beach trips!! She also said they serve the full menu all day long.

  • Ashley M.

This was a fantastic breakfast choice! On a recent trip to Panama City Beach, my friends and I spotted this place while picking up a few items from Publix. Curious, we went for breakfast on one of our vacation days and I am very, very impressed with the experience! Upon walking in, we were greeted and seated immediately. The restaurant, although busy, was very, clean. I ordered the vegetable omelet with coffee, and instead of potatoes I asked for fresh fruit. The server was very nice about my request. At the end of the meal, she even brought us three cups of to-go coffee. Their coffee is delicious! Great, clean restaurant with healthy, quality food and superb service--I highly recommend you try this place!

Great place. I had the breakfast tacos. And they were absolutely amazing. My wife had the trio and the waffle was great. Great coffee and juice.

The food was excellent!!!!! Definitely got my grub on here! Cassie was our sweet waitress and she was super friendly! Even received a mother's day gift courtesy of the restaurant... We will visit again for sure!!

  • Kiera N.

Food came out pretty fast. Not sure if they pre prepped before ordering or not. The server was great! She had so much patience for our 9 top. Only thing I felt like they had the food under a light before serving it to us so by the time some of us got our food it seemed a little cold and dried. Other then that I much prefer this over the Waffle House right in front of the restaurant.

  • Amanda R.

My boyfriend and I ate here on our 4 year anniversary for brunch. We really enjoyed it. Our server was very friendly and helpful. I ordered a waffle with eggs and bacon. The waffle was light fluffy and delicious. My boyfriend had a cheddar bacon pancake, which was recommended to us by our server. We were a little skeptical about how it would taste, but after we tried it we were not disappointed! It was amazing! Their pancakes are huge and they have a wide selection of different flavors.

Truly amazing food. We are here on out way out of town and it was truly a great find. The food is crafted with care. I'd definitely recommend it as a meal to eat before going home as I guarantee you will leave happy, and stuffed to the gills. We had the brulled (SP) banana waffle, BLT Benedict, and a blueberry pancake. All were fantastic.

  • Rebecca N.

On our way out of town we stopped in for brunch. We were looking for a good local place to eat. After reading yelp reviews we decided on this place due to reviews saying it was voted best in town. Do not be fooled. This is definitely a chain restaurant. Overall the food was alright. I had the Florentine Eggs Benedict and my partner got the veggie omelet. It was good enough. The food came out shockingly fast. I've waited longer for food at McDonalds. Quick service is good but this was off putting. The menu says fresh but I'm pretty sure a lot of it is frozen or at least pre-made (pre-made omelet??). I'm giving it 3 stars because, the food was good it's just not my style.

  • John B.

Finally made it to First Watch after driving by it many times. Let's start with the most important part of any breakfast restaurant - coffee. They have good coffee - check. As for the menu...it is obvious that they use farm fresh eggs, and since I don't do breads or many grains, it's great that their menu offers greens as an alternative to the typical hashbrowns or toast. They are a bit pricier than other breakfast restaurants in PCB, but I think they are worth the extra cost. That being said, it would be nice to see a bit larger menu offering (hence only four stars).

  • Jason L.

1st breakfast: The harvest hash is delicious. Came back again the following morning. We sampled the carrot cake pancake (awesome), and the quinoa bowl with goat cheese, pecans, and a balsamic reduction. The food along with the service was great.

  • Kaleb A.

Great menu options with super friendly staff. Healthy alternative to the local places and greasy spoons.

  • Desiree D.

This place is sooooo good!!! They have healthier breakfast options which is always a plus in my book. The way the dining area is set up is a lot different than usual breakfast spots also but it's very cozy and enjoyable.

  • Nicole W.

My favorite breakfast and brunch place! The staff is super friendly, and they always take note of my melon allergy which is so nice. The glow juice is a perfect compliment to breakfast. Specials are always rotating and are delicious as well. This place will have a customer as long as I live beachside.

  • Michael G.

This restaurant serves great breakfast food. It is clean and the staff is friendly. Everything we ordered was DELICIOUS! I ordered the eggs benedict and the carrot cake pancake. The pancakes are really huge. The potatoes bits were enjoyable. Overall, great food.

  • James D.

It can be a tad loud but the service, the food? To die for! What a great brunch place! I need to make it to the beach more often. Quality food at unbeatable prices. I literally paid the same as if I was going to go to a make shift copy cat breakfast joint on the other side of the bay. Do not pass go! This place is legit!

    (5)
  • Curtis K.

Staff was friendly. Everything was clean. Went on a Sunday morning, place was full but we were seated within 5 minutes. The menu has a lot of health-conscious selections. The meals were very filling and met the menu descriptions. We were impressed by the quality of the food; they put a lot of toppings in the hash and in the omelette. My only complaints would be that it's a tad pricey for breakfast and has a strong franchise "cookie cutter" feel to it. Also, why is English muffin the standard breakfast accoutrement? Why not a biscuit? Biscuits are better.

  • Sabrina W.

This is a wonderful place with great food and excellent service. Had breakfast here Saturday morning 18 April 2015 our food was very good and our server Monica was very helpful and professional. They were very busy but the food came out in a timely manner and was perfectly cooked. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

  • Kathi C.

I visited here with my sister, Theresa, who lives close by. I had a marvelous quinoa dish with two eggs on top; she and I shared a cranberry/nut pancake. The food was very good; we will be back each time I visit her! What a wonderful experience! Mary, our waitstaff, was very professional. I'll ask for her each time!

  • Andrew T.

Great place to enjoy breakfast or brunch. Nice that they offer some healthy options. The staff is amazing. The restaurant and bathrooms are clean. A great option for the west side of 30a or those in Panama City.

  • Mike M.

I'm 42 and this is the best breakfast I have ever had. The day before my family ate at waffle house and the bill at First Watch was $10 more but 100% better. The point, eat at First Watch. It's fair priced and delicious.

    (5)
  • C A.

I asked if the poached eggs were cooked to order and was assured they were. I ordered eggs benedict florentine and specified runny yolks. The dish arrived with firm yolks and very pale tomato slices. I ate the accompanying potatoes, which were good, while waiting for the server to check on us. After finishing my potatoes we resorted to flagging her down so I could send the dish back. I got the elevated egg sandwich instead and it was good. The server did not adjust our tab so we ended up being overcharged.

My wife and I were cruising around and looking for breakfast early in the morning and we followed Yelp reviews and chose this place. It's absolutely delicious and the staff work really hard to make sure everything goes well. This place is hidden behind a Dunkin and Waffle House and it's difficult to tell that it's a restaurant as you drive by, but it's worth the hunt so stop in and have some delicious food!

    (5)
  • Samantha H.

Food was ... not memorable. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad. I'm sure I had enjoyed it when it happened, but it wasn't great either. I THINK I got the Avocado, Bacon, and Tomato hash and I THINK I thought it was all right, except that the potatoes were overseasoned and everything else was a little underseasoned. But let's be honest, it's really difficult to mess up the great combination of creamy avocado and crispy bacon.

  • William S.

We have breakfast here regularly. Their food and service are consistently first rate. They make substitutions without complaint. This is important to us since we both like low carb and low sugar meals.

  • Ian Y.

It's a cool little place tucked away from all the usual national chains and cheesy-themed shops that flood Panama City Beach. The food selection on the menu is mostly very healthy, with some heartier choices. I had the quinoa dish with grilled chicken, butternut squash, craisins, and chopped walnuts. It was delicious, and very filling, but it didn't leave me stuffed or bloated. The coffee was very good also. Breakfast menu features the typical fare of pancakes, omelettes, and other breakfast dishes. I will certainly eat here again the next time I'm in PCB.

    (5)
  • Loreal D.

This place is great! I love coming here for brunch. The coffee will put a lot of pep in your step and the waitstaff are very attentive. So far have like everything that I have ordered. The only downside is the location is on the beach so if plan to go to the beach during the morning hours I would certainly give this place a try.

  • Jeff C.

First watch was enjoyable but not as good as Flour Power or Another Broken Egg. We loved FW's pancakes, getting the blueberry and carrot cake in two different Trifecta meals. Both were the highlight of the meal. The coffee is very bitter, and I think they know it; they have flavored creamers sitting on the table and you have to ask for regular. It's not a big deal, but worth mentioning. Instead of refills, my wife and I got OJ (which was delicious)! I'd like to return for lunch; their quinoa bowls sound like they're worth trying! All in all, it was a good breakfast.

    (4)
  • Michelle A.

Really fantastic. Fresh, homemade and delicious. Eggs benedict, carrot cake pancakes, fresh squeezed orange juice, healthy options, allergy friendly and more. Casual atmosphere and friendly service. We would definitely go again.

Hidden gem! Excellent service! Free wifi. I gather it tends to be a "locals" place, however; for me that makes it even better! Food was delicious and healthy. Highly highly recommend!

Really great breakfast. The swissroom omelet was so good. Hubby had the oatmeal. He loved it. Will be good sandwich place too to have a lite lunch.

  • Rolan P.

Excellent lunch and breakfast place. We eat here at least once a week. Some of my favorites are the via Venito, and the bacon avocado omelette. For something different try the quinoa power bowls.

    (5)
  • Ron B.

Service was a bit slow, waffle was not hot and crispy, omelet was so so. First time to eat there based on the ratings. Maybe next time will be better if we go back. Very clean and nice facility.

WOW, what a gem! Great food, good service and plenty of seating for big groups. Very clean, and nice staff, great menu! Will be back when I'm in town!

Wow! Visiting PCB for our Honeymoon and decided to explore the area for non-chain breakfast spots. Read the reviews and had to visit. The restaurant has a bold, clean, trendy style with large paintings, similar to J. Christopher's. The wait staff was extremely attentive but not intrusive during the meal. We are suckers for service that takes care of the little things quickly, for example, she immediately took the crumpled straw wrappers and paper napkin bands off the table, and as soon as our cold beverages were half empty, she came with a fresh glass and took the other as soon as it was empty. Let's get to business. The food. Everything was fresh. Homemade flavors. Not oily or heavy on the stomach. Lots of health conscious menu items were available. There is something for everyone here. I had the Avocado Bacon Tomato Hash topped with Scrambled Eggs. I moved my eggs to the side to get to the good stuff. The hash was lightly seasoned, the bacon was cooked just right, not overly crisp - I call perfect bacon, bendy bacon. The diced tomatoes did not make the hash wet or saucy, which was a pleasant surprise. And the avocado added that little bit of creamy that was just perfect! All in all, this was a fantastic experience all around! A definite restaurant destination when you're in town visiting or for a family breakfast or brunch.

Outstanding. Had the BLT Benedict and wife had the Shrimp & grits. Both excellent. Pancakes are huge - even kid portion. Highly recommend.

    (5)
  • Samantha C.

Yes, yes, yes. Protein pancakes, with blueberries and make sure to ask for them to add the crunchy granola. The blueberry sauce they bring on the side was too sour for me but using regular syrup was perfect. It's a good thing I was sharing, one pancake is enough for a single serving and the price can't be beat. Our group ate outside on the patio even though it was drizzling, the covering overhead worked fine and we enjoyed the nice breeze. Inside seemed like a mix of relaxed and elegant. Loved dining here.

So fresh, very healthy foods! Almost like organic! AWESOME Tasting....we go 2 to 4 days a week! I Woof You! Thank you! We are trying to buy the franchise " First Watch" in Pensacola Beach, we might move there!!!

  • Toby C.

This is my consistent Saturday stop. Best to go early to avoid the crowd. Service is always excellent and I've enjoyed every meal. The food here is a little more pricey than the typical fare found at the Waffle House, but the extra cost provides you a better quality of food. It's worth the cost. Coffee is Excellent! I strongly recommend First Watch for a quality breakfest.

    (5)
  • Irma H.

Very nice selection on the menu, even the healthy choices are great. If you love pancakes definitely go there, they are huge and delicious. I wish they had a better selection of coffee that's why it's a 4 star for me. Definitely a good place to start your day.

Went back for our second visit. Just as good as the first. friendliest staff in town. Food is simply great!

This is a place I never would have found without Yelp! We loved this place so much we almost went back for dinner that night (but I'm not sure it's open for dinner...) My veggie burger was great (except the sourdough toast they put the turkey sandwich on should be the bun for burger also!) And my wife got the turkey sandwich and half tomato basil soup. Both were excellent. Service was friendly and attentive. We will be back for sure to try the breakfast menu and maybe just to order the same thing we got again. Prices were reasonable and the location is fairly convenient.

    (5)
  • Maxwell H.

The breakfast was healthier than most spots on the beach. However, I wish our server would have informed us that over easy eggs are not served. Our over easy eggs came out over firm... Yuck!!

  • Arthur H.

Bad Breakfast. First, coffee is high, $2.29 and weak with bitter taste. I ordered the works omelette,$8.69, and it was gross and small. Served cold, eggs were fluffy and not crepe like. There needs to be double the cheese as they really skimp cheese. What's an omelette without much cheese? Then, they put a gross scoop of cold sour crème on top of this mess to add insult to injury. The ingredients were not cooked well. The bacon pieces inside were liked microwaved and not cooked hardly at all. The veggies were cold and uncooked. My toast came raw, like plain bread and wasn't even toasted but warm bread! Yuk! Service was very good but the breakfast, I do not recommend at all until they get a real cook who knows how to make an omelette and use cheese. Maybe lunch is good. I don't know. Do not order eggs here unless you like em cold. Bad breakfast! They need a different brand of coffee, also.

Just had breakfast here for the first time. My husband had one of the skillets which came with english muffin and fresh fruit and I had the eggs benedict with turkey and avocado which came with diced potatoes & onions and fresh fruit - delicious! A lot of food for the price - $20 for both of us. We will definitely be returning. Also, their menu is unique which I enjoyed; so many different options to choose from and not your ordinary menu.

EDIT: I am taking this from a 3-star to a 5-star review. Management was very quick in getting back to me about my experience that I talked about below, and they made it right. The manager was super friendly on the phone, invited my family back in and showed us what their restaurant was really about. I was impressed with the service this time around, and of course the food was exceptional. -- First of all I just wanted to say that I had heard nothing but good things about this place so we tried it out this morning. The food was fantastic. I ordered the Bacado omelet and it was delicious. There were two things that ruined this visit for me, though. First of all, there was hair in my hash browns that came with it. Not just one long strand, but two. It was pretty gross. Also, the waitress we had wasn't very kind. It was early in the morning and there were only two other tables with people so there wasn't much excuse for her not coming to our table to check on us, and when she did she was very short and didn't smile. She got our drink orders wrong, and never came back for a refill. We also had to wait over five minutes for someone to come seat us when we arrived, the waitresses were back in the kitchen laughing / giggling. This place has the potential to be amazing because the food is SUPERB. They just need to fix their staff.

  • Pam W.

Maybe I'm not ordering the right thing when I go here but to me, First Watch is about as impressive as Panera. It's pretty pricey for what you get. If you order a salad, they are heavy on the lettuce and light on the protein. If you are looking for the best breakfast spot in town...go to Shoney's in Pier Park. All you can eat breakfast buffet for $8.99. If you don't want a buffet, you can order breakfast from the menu. Plus you can order mimosas or bloody marys at Shoney's.

I discovered the one in Orlando and thought I had found something special. Turns out its just an overfranchised MEDIOCRE cafe with dismal ambiance. The food here in Panama city was totally forgettable. Skip this crap. I was wrong.

The food was absolutely amazing. I recommend the "try 2". I had the grilled turkey sandwich and cobb salad. The breakfast looks amazing. I can't wait to go back. Very clean, friendly, and it was very quick. My food arrived in less than 5 minutes! First Watch is a better choice than many others. All of their food is fresh, nothing is fried or microwaved, and the prices are very reasonable.

I'm no local, so I don't know all of the top-notch restaurants around. This place seemed very nice, friendly, and had a great menu--or so I thought. Cons: I wanted to try something new, and I figured the French toast monte cristo would be a good place to start. More like French toast want-no-more! Nobody warned me for what came to the table that morning, not my dad or even the waitress! Pros: Good dressed greens and water to wash down the dreadful after-taste of this taste-it-twice meal. All in all, everything else was good.

Our first time here. I can't rant and rave enough. This place is absolutely AMAZING! Our server, Mary, was friendly, knowledgeable, and so helpful. The menu is full of amazing sounding food. We wanted to try one of everything! We finally narrowed it down to starting off with one pancake a piece. The carrot cake pancake had a cinnamon streusel throughout it and bacon and cheddar was so tasty! The only problem (not really a problem) was how big the pancakes were. For our entrée we got the turkey and avocado eggs benedict and the chickichanga. Wow Is the only word to describe it. Be sure to check out the you first section on the back of of the menu. It really shows the type of business this is. You will be missing out if you don't try this place!

The food was excellent!!!!! Definitely got my grub on here! Cassie was our sweet waitress and she was super friendly! Even received a mother's day gift courtesy of the restaurant... We will visit again for sure!!

Great food, good choices. Husband raved about the over-easy eggs. Friendly server and food came out quick and hot!

I discovered the one in Orlando and thought I had found something special. Turns out its just an overfranchised MEDIOCRE cafe with dismal ambiance. The food here in Panama city was totally forgettable. Skip this crap. I was wrong.

  • Jeff A.

  • Bruce K.

Yum! Five stars!

Very yummy!

    (5)
  • Rebekah J.

  • Anna L.

  • Wendy S.

My favorite breakfast place at the beach. Great service and healthy food choice options! We go back every year due to the consistent food and service!

Excellent breakfast. Everything was very fresh. I had the Parma hash. Very good. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Everyone in our group loved what they ordered. Service was super friendly and efficient. Highly recommend.

  • Hugh J.

  • Steven F.

  • Mel P.

I'm not sure how many times I can say delicious in a review. The multigrain pancakes were to die for. I'm not a fan of omelettes but I really enjoyed the one I had. Definitely recommend this place for brunch!

  • Sean M.

Excellent lunch and breakfast place. We eat here at least once a week. Some of my favorites are the via Venito, and the bacon avocado omelette. For something different try the quinoa power bowls.

  • Ron B.

Service was a bit slow, waffle was not hot and crispy, omelet was so so. First time to eat there based on the ratings. Maybe next time will be better if we go back. Very clean and nice facility.

Yuck!!

    (3)

  • Teresa T.
